THE WEBSITE DESIGN PROCESS

STEP 1 – THE INTERVIEW

To build a purposeful, engaging website with the ultimate goal of generating leads for your business, you will be asked a series of strategic questions including:

1) Who is your target audience and what problems do they face?

2) How does your business help solve their problems?

3) What are the key positive outcomes for your audience upon interacting with your business?

We will also discuss other business goals you may have as well as clarify your brand’s story, personality, mission, vision and values.

STEP 2 – THE MOCK-UP

After the interview is complete, I will create a wireframe, or a rough sketch of your future website to ensure it is user-friendly and therefore increases the likelihood of maintaining user attention.

STEP 3 – THE BUILD

After laying down a solid and strategic foundation via Steps 1 and 2, the website building will begin! We will continue to communicate during this process as new ideas may arise.

STEP 4 – FIRST DRAFT AND REVISIONS

I will send you the first draft that we will review together and discuss any changes to be made.

STEP 5 – SECOND DRAFT AND REVISIONS

After implementation of any changes to the first draft, I will then send you the second draft that we will review together prior to making the website go live.

STEP 6 – THE LAUNCH

We have arrived to the most exciting part – making the website go live!

Please note that if a website was previously created for your business there will be a period of downtime where your domain is transitioning from the old website to the new website. This transition period can take anywhere from an hour to a day and unfortunately out of our control. For this reason, a new website launch will always be scheduled when your audience is least likely to search for your business online.

STEP 7 – THE FOLLOW UP

The communication between us doesn’t end after the launch! I will check in within a couple of weeks to see how you are feeling about the website and if there are any tweaks you would like to make based on feedback you may have received.

FEELING READY TO GET GOING BUT STILL HAVE MORE QUESTIONS?

I understand the hesitation – I would feel the same way too. After all, we are only getting to know each other through a website at this point.

Your business is your baby and it requires a lot of trust to hire someone unfamiliar to help you take care of it.
